About Us
Our Story
Saving the Word
Our ministry began after finding a dusty Bible on the shelf of a thrift store and asking “I wonder what happens if no one buys this?” Unpurchased Bibles are shipped the the dump like everything else. To keep this from happening, we began buying up every spare Bible we could find.
But there is something worse than this—many Bibles with homes are left to essentially the same fate. They collect dust on a shelf until they are eventually retired to a box or closet. Our goal has been to “recycle” Bibles and find them a good home.
More recently, we have moved beyond simply the distribution of Bibles, and on to initiatives that we believe will encourage the understanding of the book itself. A Bible left misunderstood is even worse than a Bible left unread.
We’re saving Bibles from disuse, but it’s the Word that is saving us.
“A Bible that’s falling apart usually belongs to someone who isn’t.”
– Charles H. Spurgeon
